This document explains how to access Electude from your Brightspace learning platform and how to add Electude content to a Brightspace course.
You can either add a direct access link to Electude, which can also be accessed by students or add separate Electude modules or courses to your Brightspace course.
1. Add a direct access link from Electude to Brightspace
If the LTI integration has been set up correctly, you can directly access the Electude learning platform from your Brightspace environment as a teacher. Follow the steps below to add an Electude direct access link to your Brightspace course.
Locate your course in Brightspace, and navigate to the Content tab tab.

Set up a new module, if needed and click on the Add Existing button.

Click on External Tool Activity.

Click on Create New LTI Link at the bottom of the window.

Fill in the information as displayed in the screenshot below. Make sure to fill in your own school domain name. If you can't locate your Electude LTI link, please contact your administrator.
Click Create and Insert.

Your Electude direct access link has been added to your Brightspace course. Here you have access to courses, modules and student data. To learn more about navigating to courses and modules, or creating your own courses and modules, click on the ? on the top right corner in the Electude screen.
If you want to make the direct access link available to students, make sure to enable visibility.

2. Add Electude content to your Brightspace course
It is possible to add entire Electude courses or specific modules to Brightspace.
2.1 Add Electude courses to your Brightspace course
Navigate to the Course to which you would like to add Electude content and click on the Content tab.

Click on + New Unit and name your module, e.g. Electude content. Click Save.

With the new module created, click the Add Existing button.

Click on the Electude Quicklink Deeplink from the list.

Electude will open in the Brightspace window. Navigate to the Courses tab in Electude and to the course you would like to add to Brightspace.

Click Select as LTI tool.

Your Electude course is now 'deep linked' into your Brightspace course.
Click on the three dots on the right hand side of the menu to open the settings for the content you added. Choose Edit from the list.

Choose the option Open in a new tab and click Save.

Make sure to set your course to visible so it is available to students.

2.2 Add Electude modules to your Brightspace course
If you want to add separate modules instead of an entire course to Brightspace, follow the same steps as described in section 2.1. When Electude opens in Brightspace, navigate to the Modules tab in Electude.

Search for or navigate to the module you would like to add to Brightspace via the menu on the left hand side.

Click on the Select as LTI tool button. The module will be added to your Brightspace course.

Note:
If you select ‘Select as LTI tool’ a column in the gradebook will be created on notification of a student result.
If you select ‘Select as LTI tool with line item’, a clickable gradebook column for this module will be created immediately. In combination with the enabled Electude site administrator setting 'Do not create line item automatically, only send grades for existing line items’, this option also allows you to determine for which modules student results are or are not passed on to Brightspace.
